Logo for TNCE Partner Rencontres Audiovisuelles

Based in Lille since 1998, Rencontres Audiovisuelles promotes independent cinema and digital images. It also develops activities in the field of education to the visual image.

The association follows 4 main objectives:

  • Public awareness: allow everyone to discover new artistic forms, especially hard to reach groups and young audiences.
  • Initiation and film literacy: help to decipher images, to understand how audiovisual language is built and how to use it.
  • Supporting creativity: provide opportunities for innovative audiovisual creators to show their work and extend their network.
  • Anchoring its actions in a given social and geographical context: cultural actions at regional level, developing connections with local communities and networking thanks to in-depth outreach work.

Contestants compete on stage in front of the audience and have a few minutes to do their best, on a given theme, and beat their competition armed with their graphic tablets! The jury and the audience vote for the winners, until the final confrontation. This competition will be held each year in Lille during Fête de l’anim’ (end of March).
